INFORMATION FROM A-Z

Arrival onboard
The crew's steward crew will welcome you when you arrive on board. He will be the person for you to contact for all your concerns during the whole journey and he will see to it that the necessary steps are taken for you to be able to experience a memorable voyage.

Leisure time
We recommend that you take a portable radio with cassettes or CD so that you do not have to do without your favourite music. Visiting our small ship library is certainly worth it for enthusiasts of literature. In addition, we also have some parlour games onboard to you're your leisure time more entertaining. Nothings stands in the way of a pleasant evening of videos.

Wardrobe
Casual clothes and flat shoes are always the right choice. The possibility of sharing a washing machine (including detergent) and an iron should make quite a few decisions easier about the quantity of clothes to take along.

First-Aid Kit
In any luggage there should, among other things, be a suntan crème with a high protection factor, drugs against seasickness and general pain killing drugs. Please note that there will be no doctor aboard.

Vaccination
Vaccinations are not prescribed to enter these countries. For longer stays in the countries we call at, vaccinations are recommended against yellow fever, hepatitis A and malaria.

Cabin
Beddings and towels are provided to you, of course, and will be changed regularly by the steward. He will also do the cleaning of cabins. There are familiar 220-V electric sockets in the cabins.

Climate
Though from November to March one has to expect storms in the northern Atlantic Ocean, during other months you can enjoy a quiet crossing of the Atlantic Ocean. The climate is tropical and high atmospheric humidity predominates.

Navigation Bridge
From the navigation bridge you have without any doubt the best view of happenings. There you can experience everyday maritime life directly and do so at any time.

Shore Leave
If you want to go ashore, rent a taxi or experience an outing, be sure to ask the Steward. He will be glad to help you.

Mess and Bar
Meals will be taken together with the captain in the officers' mess. Drinks and tobacco can be purchased from the Steward.

Visa
No visas are necessary for passengers from the EU-countries. A passport valid for more than six months beyond the duration of the journey is sufficient for entry.

Currency
We recommend euros for Le Havre, both French isles and Antwerp. Otherwise you will need US-dollars, small denominations of which are especially useful. Unfortunately, credit cards and cheques cannot be accepted aboard. Euros and US-dollars are the currencies used onboard.
