The intensive impressions and experiences could not be imparted by a cruise
on a luxury liner. I thankfully admire the way in which the passengers
were included and the all-round patience and friendliness.

I should be complaining. I had expected a working ship, somewhat Spartan
in its furnishings and cuisine, always in danger of being in someone's
way and being chased away... Instead I found a lovely cabin with flowers
and chocolate, first class, well-balanced food, very attentive service,
a cheerful, friendly and very hard-working crew, always fresh water
in the pool and a ship that was cleaned every day. Please don't tell
anyone or I'll never get another cabin because of the great rush...

most beautiful memories. When I now see a Horn ship on the Elbe, I will
look on it in a very different way...How much effort, care and prudence
is necessary to stow the container and the load.
